  NUCLEIC ACIDS Nucleic  Acids contains all genetic instructions which are used in all living organism for development and functioning.  There are Two Types of Nucleic Acids-- 1.  DNA 2. RNA DNA- Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid  It is a long polymer and it is made from repeating units that are called nucleotides. DNA has four bases  Adenine  Guanine Cytosine Thymine  RNA- Ribo Nucleic Acid -  RNA is also made by the long chain of nucleotides. But Deference is that It contains uracil in place of thymine. The Cell 

Cell is the structural and functional unit of living organism.

According to cell theory proposed by schleiden and Sehwann 1938

An organism may be composed of single cell or many ells. 

Cells are of two types 

1. Prokaryotic- Which lack of nucleus and membrane bound organelle. 

2. Eukaryotic- Which have nucleus and membrane bound organelle. 

* Prokaryotic cell is found in Bacteria, mycoplasma and blue- green algae while eukaryote cell in plants, animals and fungi.
